Daniel Marks, CCIM began his real estate career in 2006 as development manager for a regional retail developer. In 2011, he founded this firm to focus on distressed asset dispositions and providing brokerage services to a national retailer expanding across the southeast. Daniel joined Nichols Land and Investment in 2014 after he and his wife, Melissa, moved to the Athens area to raise their 3 children. Daniel re-engaged his firm and stepped away from a successful 6-year tenure as associate broker and developer with Nichols Land in 2020. He leverages his 15+ years of commercial real estate experience across multiple disciplines and economic cycles to deliver services that exceed the expectations of clients.
Brett DeLoach
Vice President
Brett DeLoach, Vice President, is responsible for Land and Commercial Property Sales and Landlord and Tenant Representation for Commercial Leases. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from The University of Georgia in Management. Brett has 7 years of experience in the forestry industry as a procurement forester and logging crew owner at Pierce Timber Company, Inc. He was a member of The University of Georgia Baseball Team from 2010-2013 and is currently a member of The University of Georgia Baseball Alumni Group and The Georgia Bulldog Club.
Kathleen O’Donnell
Director of Marketing
Kathleen O’Donnell, Director of Marketing, will be graduating from The University of Georgia, May of 2023. She will be receiving her Bachelor of Business Administration in Risk Management and Insurance and a minor in Political Science. She will also receive certificates in Legal Studies and Personal and Organizational Leadership. Kathleen has a year of experience working in the digital marketing field. Her duties at Marks Commercial Realty include marketing properties, maintaining websites, and social media administration. Kathleen is from Milton, Georgia and loves going to football games “between the hedges.”
