Daniel Marks
President & Qualifying Broker
Daniel Marks, CCIM embarked on his real estate journey in 2006 as a development manager for a regional retail developer. In 2011, driven by a passion for distressed asset dispositions and brokerage services, he established this firm, focusing on assisting a national retailer’s expansion across the Southeast. After relocating with his wife, Melissa, to the Athens area to raise their three children, Daniel joined Nichols Land and Investment in 2014. During his six-year tenure as associate broker and developer, he played a pivotal role in the company’s success. In 2020, Daniel re-engaged his firm, drawing upon over 15 years of commercial real estate experience across various disciplines and economic cycles to exceed client expectations.
Brett DeLoach
Vice President
Brett DeLoach, Vice President, oversees Land and Commercial Property Sales, as well as Landlord and Tenant Representation for Commercial Leases. Holding a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management from The University of Georgia, Brett brings a diverse background to his role. With seven years of experience in the forestry industry, including roles as a procurement forester and logging crew owner at Pierce Timber Company, Inc., Brett possesses a unique perspective that enriches his approach to real estate. He also brings leadership experience from his time as a member of The University of Georgia Baseball Team from 2010 to 2013. Currently, Brett remains actively engaged as a member of The University of Georgia Baseball Alumni Group and The Georgia Bulldog Club.
Sarah Elrod
Director of Property Management
Sarah Elrod, our Director of Property Management, proudly holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of Mississippi. Her journey in real estate began in Richmond, VA, where she worked for a commercial real estate company, fueled by her love for the industry. Now back in Athens with her husband Ryan, their baby girl Olivia, and their loyal dog Dash, Sarah finds fulfillment in pursuing her passion in her hometown. Beyond work, she cherishes moments spent hiking, kayaking, and enthusiastically cheering on the Bulldogs.
